Recent Developments in Prostate Cancer Screenings
The USPSTF has recently released new guidelines recommending men no longer received prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests as part of their routine screening. Midtown Urology physicians are firm in their opposition to these recommendations as their expertise is supported by countless saved lives. They are in strong support of the the National Medical Association’s (NMA’s) recent statement regarding the continuation of the PSA test as an appropriate screening tool for prostate cancer.
